FOR SALE: I have 1929, British made, racing outboard I would like to sell. It is a WaterMota Speed, with a single cylinder producing over 15hp at over 4000rpm. With the exception of the cylinder head, it is made of aluminum. Water is forced through an opening at the bottom of the leg while underway, thru a water jacket, then existing through the back of the engine, under the fuel tank. Within that tank , there is a oil tank and a meter to feed oil to the Babet bearings. It has an Anal carb. which was sourced from the British motorcycle industry in 1929. I have searched the internet and found 2 located in the UK . These engines were used on Bullet class hydroplanes which were very fast.
I am considering listing it for sale in the USA or England, but thought I would try Canada first. The engine is located in Kelowna, BC. I have a lot more info available, including photos of the engine. Is there interest in this engine within your network

I don’t think I mentioned this outboard is a racing engine, is British and designed by a brilliant Japanese engineer who was initially involved in designing aero radial aircraft engines. The engine has a fabulous history. How and why it ended up in Canada is still to be determined. It has been in our family for nearly 70 years. Thanks, Andrew
