Sorry to report that former TORC racer Jim Misener passed away August 25th, 2025.

Jim raced #53 and in his racing he wasn’t often a front runner, but he really enjoyed it. Jim was very active with the organization of the sport for a number of years working closely with John Webster and the Fralick family members. During his involvement with TORC he did many things to help the club including years in various positions like Membership Director, VP of TORC, and TORC liaison between them and the THSC. He also wrote the club newsletter TORC Talk in the early 2000’s. He also held positions at the CBF level. He was awarded the “Stevenson Award” in 2005 for Outstanding Involvement in Stock Outboard from the CBF. His partner Jayne Howard was also involved with the club and was Treasurer for a few years. Jim was also one of the key people to secure the rescue boat TORC still uses today. An asset to the club and sport for sure, and will be missed by family and friends. Our condolences to all who knew him.
